Khon Kaen University International College Welcomes the Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand
Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC) in conjunction with the Institute of Dispute Resolution hosted a special lecture on ‘Vision 2020 : Realities and Prospects for ASEAN Community’ by the Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand, Her Excellency Dato’ Nazirah Hussain. Many lecturers and students from various faculties of KKU attended the lecture held on the afternoon of the 14th of September 2016 in the lecture hall of KKUIC .
The receiving party welcomed the Ambassador and her entourage in conference room 923, 9th floor, of the Information Center Building after a visit and discussion with the management of the Institute of Dispute Resolution in the morning. Welcoming Her Excellency to KKUIC were; Associate Professor Nawarat Wara-Asawapati Charoen, Vice President of International Affairs, Professor Supachai Pathumnakul, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer, and Acting Director of Institute of Dispute Resolution, Professor La-orsri Sanoamuang, Dean of the International College, lecturers, students, staff. Since Malaysia and Thailand are closed neighboring countries with the good relationship for a long time in many areas, such as trade and investment, tourism, socio-economic development, etc.
After the welcome speech by Professor La-orsri Sanoamuang and Associate Professor Nawarat Wara-Asawapati Charoen the Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand gave her lecture. Her lecture focused on awareness of the ASEAN community and preparation for youths and people to develop their capability for opportunity and competition. Her Excellency reiterated that as Malaysia and Thailand are close neighboring countries with a long history of good relations in many areas including trade and investment, tourism, and socio-economic development it was important for all of us to work together in becoming a stronger family, and build on each other’s strengths.News : Putthiroke
