The Meteorological Department warns of heavy rain and storm struck Thailand in between 25-29 of May

The Meteorological Department has issued a No. 4 cyclone of "YAAS" in the Bay of Bengal, stated at 1:00 am, 25 May 2021.

YAAS cyclone is expected to move ashore in upper India during 26-27 May 2021, so that is resulting in this period the Southern parts of Thailand having a heavy to rain in some places like; Phetchaburi Province Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket and Krabi.
However, during this period the sailors in the Andaman Sea should refrain from sailing and all of the sailors in the Gulf of Thailand should navigate with caution, said the Meteorological Department.

Northeast and East are expecting of heavy rain due to the monsoon trough that has lying across the lower North and the Northeast of the country, as well as the monsoon that prevails over the Andaman Sea in the the Southwest is intensifying.

Northern: The weather will be hot in the day and 60 per cent of thunderstorms and strong gust of wind in the area with and some places Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Lampang, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun has faced with heave rains.

Moreover, the temperature will be in between 23 to 28 degrees Celsius as minimum, and maximum of 30 to 36 degrees Celsius.

Northeastern: Overall picture is cloudy with 70 per cent of thunderstorms, strong gust of wind and heavy rains in Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Mahasarakham, Surin, Si Saket, Ubon Ratchathani, Roi Et, Yasothon, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram and Amnat Charoen. Minimum temperature is 23 to 24 degrees Celsius, and maximum at 30 to 35 degrees Celsius.

Central: in this region will be quite hot during daytime with only 30 per cent of thunderstorms, in the provinces includes Ratchaburi, Suphanburi, Kanchanaburi, Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Saraburi, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon are facing with the gust of wind. Anyhow, the temperature is between 25 to 37 degrees Celsius.

Eastern: mostly cloudy and 40 per cent of thunderstorms and isolated heavy rains in Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature is 24 to 28 degrees Celsius, and maximum for 30 to 34 degrees Celsius. Additionally, in the sea is having about 2 metres height of waves and over that number in the thundershower areas.

Southern (both side; Gulf of Thailand and Andaman): lot of clouds with 40 to 60 per cent of thunderstorms in the areas of Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket and Krabi. And temperature is in between 24 to 36 degrees Celsius. Moreover, the sea is having about 1 to 4 metres height of waves and over 4 metres in the thundershower areas.
