Students from the International Affairs Program at KKUIC participated in the Next Gen: BHR 720-Degree Simulations, held during the United Nations Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum, Asia-Pacific at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), Bangkok.
🏆✨The participating team consisted of
1.Ms. Rujirada Dechanuphanon from the International Relations and Diplomacy major
2.Mr. Sorayut Sutthisan from the International Relations and Diplomacy major
3.Ms. Yollada Thongthong from the International Development major
The team was advised by Ajarn Rapeepan Phittayadilok, International Affairs faculty member at KKUIC. Competing under the theme “DEI and the Ethics of Inclusion,” the students developed a strategic blueprint for integrating DEI principles into the textile industry’s supply chain and aims to drive a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future for the sector.
Central to this strategy is the establishment of key partnerships with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to serve as vital bridges, elevating the voices of workers and marginalized communities by actively embedding them into core decision-making processes. Concurrently, the plan incorporates proactive measures to mitigate climate change risks throughout the supply chain. By leveraging Strategic Foresight and Backcasting methodologies, this framework designs a robust roadmap and actionable guidelines to successfully achieve shared long-term sustainability goals.
The project demonstrated the value of interdisciplinary thinking by integrating perspectives from human rights, international development, business ethics, sustainability, climate resilience, and strategic foresight. Their success reflects an important lesson for future leaders: in today’s interconnected world, no challenge exists in isolation, and effective solutions require collaboration across sectors, disciplines, and stakeholder groups.
This achievement highlights the students’ ability to apply academic knowledge to real-world global challenges and reflects KKUIC’s commitment to developing responsible leaders for a sustainable society.
