On 18 August 2026, KKUIC welcomed a delegation from a partner university, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), Indonesia, led by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Zuli Qodir, for a benchmarking visit and discussion on academic collaboration welcomed by Dr. Thapanee Wasaratchawet, the Assistant Dean for International Relations, External Networking, and Enrichment and Assistant Professor Dr. Wei Yang, the Department Chair of Arts, Social Sciences, and Linguistics & General Education and a lecturer in Tourism Management. Both institutions explored joint workshops/seminars, lecturer exchange, joint research and publications, student exchange, and 4+1/3+1 joint degree pathways — with plans to formalize the partnership through upcoming MoAs.
