On 9 July 2026, Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC), led by Asst. Prof. Wei Yang, Ph.D., Department Chair of Arts, Social Sciences, and Linguistics & General Education, Pattanapong Toparkngarm, Ph.D., Department Chair of BBA, Innovation, and Applied Science, Dr. Thapanee Wasaratchawet, Program Director of B.A. International Affairs and Coordinator of International Relations and Diplomacy, warmly welcomed the executive and study visit delegation from Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) for an official visit and bilateral academic discussion.
This meeting focused on expanding international educational networks. Both institutions discussed several key dimensions, including talent cultivation at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. They also explored the feasibility of establishing joint or dual degree programs, such as 3+1 and 2+2 models, as well as short-term and long-term exchange programs aimed at promoting cross-cultural learning experiences for students from both institutions.
This discussion marks a significant starting point for sustainable academic cooperation between the two institutions. It aims to promote knowledge exchange, develop the potential of students and staff, and mutually expand international educational opportunities in the future.
