WHO WE ARE

The Thailand International College Consortium (TICC) International Conference is co-hosted by 5 International colleges consisting of Khon Kaen University International College, Burapha University International College, Naresuan University International College, Prince of Songkla University International College, Hat Yai Campus and Faculty of International Studies, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus. These international colleges established the Thailand International College Consortium (TICC) in 2018 to enhance academic collaborations among the partner universities. 

History

The Thailand International College Consortium (TICC) was conceived and established by Prof. Dr. La-orsri Sanoamuang, Dean of Khon Kaen University International College, in 2014. The charter members of the TICC included Khon Kaen University International College, Faculty of International Studies at Prince of Songkla University Phuket Campus, and Naresuan University International College. The current list of TICC member colleges now includes:

1. Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC)
2. Faculty of International Studies at Prince of Songkla University Phuket Campus (FIS PSU Phuket)
3. Naresuan University International College (NUIC)
4. Burapha University International College (BUUIC)
5. Prince of Songkla University International College (PSUIC)
6. International College for Sustainability Studies at Srinakharinwirot University (SWUIC)

Objectives

The TICC aims to promote academic collaboration among its member colleges in the following aspects:

1. Exchange of students and lecturers
2. Rotating responsibility for hosting the TICC annual conference
3. Sharing of data for quality assessment to develop academic excellence, and for internal TICC ranking

Significant outcomes

1. Thirty students from FIS PSU Phuket attended KKUIC during the summer semester of the 2014-2015 academic year to study 2 International Affairs courses (6 credits).
2. Students from NUIC visited Khon Kaen University for knowledge sharing with KKUIC Student Union committee members.
3. Administrators and staff of BUIC visited KKUIC for knowledge sharing in January 2019.
4. The TICC conference has been organized annually since 2015. TICC member colleges take turns hosting the TICC conference each year. The last conference was the 5th TICC Conference, which was held during 26-27 November 2020.
5. Since 2020, members of TICC started sharing their academic quality assessment data for the development of academic excellence and an internal ranking system.
