4+1 Bachelor's to Master's Degree Program at the University of York

KKUIC Unveils Exclusive “4+1” Pathway to the University of York

Have you ever envisioned pursuing a master’s degree at a world-class institution in the United Kingdom?

For many, the prospect of studying amidst classical European architecture, immersing oneself in a new culture, and unlocking international career opportunities can seem like a distant, complex aspiration. However, for students at Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC), that dream has just moved significantly closer to reality.

In a landmark development for this academic year, KKUIC has officially forged a strategic alliance with the University of York, one of the United Kingdom’s premier institutions. This partnership launches the “4+1 Progression Agreement,” a collaboration designed to make the transition to graduate studies smoother and more rewarding than ever before.

Why the University of York?

This is not merely a standard partnership. The University of York is a distinguished member of the Russell Group, the elite association of research-intensive universities in the U.K., often compared to the Ivy League in the United States. Its academic excellence is undeniable, ranking in the Top 20 in the U.K. and placing 12th in the Complete University Guide 2026.

Beyond its academic credentials, York offers an exceptional quality of life. It has been recognized as one of the “Happiest Places to Live” in Britain and is ranked as the second-safest city in the U.K. The campus itself is renowned for its lush, environmentally friendly green spaces and state-of-the-art facilities.

A "Red Carpet" Experience for KKUIC Students

This initiative goes beyond a simple exchange contract; it serves as an exclusive “fast track” for KKUIC students. The agreement offers significant privileges designed to facilitate student success:
  1. Substantial Tuition Incentives: KKUIC students who apply through this program for the 2026-2027 academic year are eligible for an immediate tuition discount of £4,000 (approximately 170,000 THB). This benefit significantly alleviates the financial burden of studying abroad.
  2. Accessible Academic Thresholds: The anxiety of complex grade conversions is eliminated. Students graduating from KKUIC with a cumulative GPA (GPAX) of 2.60 or higher (comparable to a U.K. 2:2) meet the academic qualifications to apply.

Your Next Chapter Begins Here.

For interested KKUIC students, the time to prepare is now. Students are encouraged to focus on maintaining their GPA and refining their English proficiency to fully seize this opportunity to become Global Citizens. As the college’s ethos suggests, KKUIC is not merely producing graduates; it is constructing futures on an international scale.
