KKUIC, as KKU representatives, Discussed Collaboration Opportunities with the University of Leicester

On March 18, 2025, the Khon Kaen University (KKU) delegation visited the University of Leicester as the second university of the UK Inward Trip, facilitated by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), British Embassy Bangkok. KKU representatives, including Prof. Dr. Wongsa Laohasiriwong (Dean, Faculty of Public Health), Asst. Prof. Sirimonbhorn Thipsingh (Dean, International College) and Mr. Benoit Nadeau (Assistant Dean, International Relations and Collaborations). The visit was supported by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) Conal Doherty in attendance. Discussions ensued with key Leicester representatives, Angela Harrison (Director of Global Partnerships), Rob Crane (Assistant. Director of Business Partnerships), Felicity Lawrence (Head of Global Business Operations) Imran Patel (Dean of Internationalization, College of Life Sciences), Dr. Ash Sadeghi (Associate Professor in International Business, Leader of Help to Grow Program and Director of Internationalization) and Clare Banfa (Head of Study Abroad Unit).

The meeting focused on collaborative undergraduate and postgraduate programs, joint research initiatives, and student/staff exchange opportunities. The visit concluded with a campus tour, providing insights into Leicester’s academic environment and facilities. This engagement marks a promising step toward a collaboration between KKU and the University of Leicester, fostering international partnerships that benefit students, faculty, and researchers from both institutions.
