
From May 21–23, 2025, the International College organized a field trip to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to enhance cross-cultural learning experiences 🌍 and build collaborative networks with various sectors in Laos 🤝

Objectives
This activity was held to support foreign policy in the GMS region and the “New Isan” initiative of the university president, aiming to enhance academic, economic, and social connectivity in the Mekong River Basin 🌊.
Main Field Trip Locations
1. United Nations Development Program / Lane Xang Avenue 🌍
2. Mekong River Commission (MRC) – Exchange knowledge on cross-border river basin management 🌿
3. Lao Football Federation (LFF) – Study the management system of sports and youth ⚽
4. Hung Huang (Lao) Logistics Co., Ltd. – Learn about cross-border logistics 🚚
5. Crowne Plaza Hotel – Academic discussion on service and tourism 🏨

Guest Speaker – Day 2
On the second day of the event, a discussion was held on the topic “Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Integration: Opportunities and Challenges for Thai and Lao Entrepreneurs,” featuring the following speakers:
– Mr. Yong Chanthalangsy (Former Ambassador)
– Ms. Souvaly Khamphoui (Acting President of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Laos)
Additionally, there was a Session 2 discussion by Mr. Sitthadeth Champasith (Entrepreneur) on Art Coffee & Social Business ☕
📌 Achievements
– Students gained firsthand experience from enterprises and international organizations 🌟.
– Opportunities were opened for cross-cultural learning and the development of essential soft skills for international work 💼.
– Cooperation between KKUIC and the visited organizations was established in education management, internships, and knowledge exchange, which can lead to future MOUs or joint projects 📄.
