On November 3, 2025, the Khon Kaen University’s administrators, faculty members, and staff participated in a merit-making ceremony and the invocation of Phra Upakut to officially commence the Loy Krathong Festival. The ceremony took place at Khon Kaen University, along with offerings to Phra Si, the 50-year-old statue of the university, and Phra Sai Khao to enhance auspiciousness for all participants.
KKUIC, led by Asst. Prof. Sirimonbhorn Thipsingh, Dean, Khon Kaen University International College, and Asst. Prof. Saksuriya Traiyarach, Ph.D. Associate Dean for Education and Human Resources Management, joined in the warm and harmonious continuation of the Loy Krathong tradition, with enthusiastic participation from students and staff.
This year’s Sithan International Festival 2025 also emphasizes the preservation of beautiful traditions and the faith of the Thai people towards the Naga, along with the “Boon Somma Bucha Naga” activities, which garnered overwhelming interest from attendees. It serves as a celebration of culture that is intertwined with the community and showcases the distinctive identity of Khon Kaen University.
