Khon Kaen University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Panthong Viriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, and Asst. Prof. Sirimonbhorn Thipsingh, Dean, Khon Kaen University International College, participated in the “Spring Festival of the Motherland” held at the VT Nam Neung Community Convention Hall in Udon Thani Province. This event was organized by the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and is of significant importance for celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand.
The event attracted approximately 800 participants, including executives from 20 provinces in the northeastern region of Thailand, representatives from various agencies and organizations, as well as members of the Vietnamese community residing and working in Thailand.
Key Activities of the Event
– Banh Chung Wrapping Competition, organized by the Vietnamese community in Thailand.
– Cultural Performances, featuring artists from Ho Chi Minh City.
– Inauguration Ceremony of the Vietnam Heritage Club.
– Reception to celebrate the promotion of cultural heritage, along with showcasing national dishes of both Vietnam and Thailand.
The participation of the International College reinforces the strong ties between the two countries and promotes cultural exchange and the distinctive traditions of the Vietnamese community in Thailand. This event provides an excellent opportunity to foster partnerships and enhance understanding of each other’s cultures, which is crucial for building unity and positive relationships between the peoples of both nations.
