
Phu Pha Man District, Khon Kaen – On May 2, 2025, Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC) organized an educational field trip to Phu Pha Man District, Khon Kaen Province, providing students with hands-on experience in sustainable tourism development.
The trip was led by Dr. Wei Yang, Chair of the Arts, Social Sciences, and Linguistics Department and lecturer in the Tourism Management Program, along with third-year students and college staff.

This academic excursion was conducted as part of the “Tourism Destination Planning and Development” course, aiming to provide students with real-world learning experiences and a deeper understanding of conservation-based tourism development approaches in Thailand’s northeastern region.
Phu Pha Man is recognized as one of the region’s most promising destinations for nature and cultural tourism, serving as an excellent model for environmentally-friendly tourism development that benefits local communities.
The field trip demonstrated the natural beauty and cultural richness of Khon Kaen Province, extending beyond its renowned culinary offerings. The area presents numerous opportunities for eco-tourism and responsible travel initiatives that can inspire both visitors and tourism professionals.
