English Camp Empowers Students with Language Skills and SDGs Awareness

KHON KAEN – The Center for International Creative Lifelong Learning (ICL), International College, Khon Kaen University, successfully organized the English Boosting Program “English for a Better World” on January 30–31, 2025, at Pomelo Park Resort, Ubolratana District, Khon Kaen Province.

The two-day camp welcomed secondary school students from Phuwieng Wittayakom School, offering an innovative approach to language learning that combines English communication skills with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework.

The program was designed to boost students’ confidence in using English while developing real-world communication skills through hands-on, experiential learning activities. By integrating SDGs concepts, participants were able to connect English language learning with relevant contexts such as education, health, environment, and social participation.

Throughout the camp, students enhanced their English proficiency through a diverse range of activities including interactive games, role-playing exercises, group work, presentations, and creative team-building tasks. These activities created a supportive and friendly atmosphere that encouraged critical thinking, public speaking, and self-expression.

“We remain committed to developing inspiring learning experiences and building essential skills for young people in the modern world,” said a representative from ICL.

The center expressed sincere gratitude to Phuwieng Wittayakom School for their trust and collaboration in this youth development initiative.
