Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC) recently played host to a dynamic delegation of students and faculty from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City – International School of Business (UEH–ISB), Vietnam. The visit, held from November 25–27, 2025, was part of the “Study Tour 2025” program aimed at fostering cross-cultural learning and business acumen.
The welcoming ceremony was led by Asst. Prof. Sirimonbhorn Thipsingh, Dean of KKUIC, alongside Mr. Benoit Nadeau, Assistant Dean for Special Affairs and International Collaborations. They warmly received the visiting group, marking the beginning of a three-day journey designed to strengthen the academic and professional ties between Thailand and Vietnam.
This year’s study tour went beyond a traditional classroom exchange. It was meticulously crafted to provide UEH-ISB students with deep insights into the marketing landscapes of both nations. The program highlighted the diverse business opportunities available in the Mekong region, with a specific focus on cross-cultural communication and understanding the unique socio-economic context of Thailand’s Northeast.
A major highlight of the tour was the experiential learning trip to “Mee Gin Farm.” Recognized as a successful model for sustainable community business and farm management, the farm provided a perfect case study for the students. Here, the delegation moved from theory to practice, engaging in creative workshops such as DIY Pizza making and Eco-Printing.
These hands-on activities were not just for fun; they served as practical lessons in adding value to local products and managing community-based enterprises. The combination of business learning and cultural exchange left a lasting impression on the visitors, equipping them with fresh perspectives on sustainable marketing that they can apply in their future careers. The “Study Tour 2025” concluded with high spirits, successfully bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world application while cementing the friendship between KKUIC and UEH-ISB.
