KKUIC Basketball Club made a strong showing at the recent “6 WIT SANSAMPUN 2024” tournament, held on September 28-29, 2024. The annual event, which aims to foster relationships between different faculties and colleges, saw participation from six teams representing various academic units of the university.
In a thrilling finale, the KKUIC men’s basketball team emerged victorious, defeating the Faculty of Engineering with a decisive score of 67-57. This win marks a significant achievement for the KKUIC Basketball Club and highlights the talent and dedication of its athletes.
The women’s team from KKUIC also put up a commendable performance, advancing to the second round before being eliminated by the Faculty of Science in the quarter-finals with a score of 34-62.
The tournament featured teams from the International College, College of Local Administration, College of Computing, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. The competition was structured with two groups of three teams each, playing two rounds to determine the top two teams from each group for the knockout stages.
This success underscores KKUIC’s commitment to fostering well-rounded student development. The college encourages students to pursue their interests beyond academics through various student clubs, including sports, music, arts, communication, and academic development clubs.
