Khon Kaen University Strengthens Educational Cooperation with Kazakhstan
ASTANA, KAZAKHSTAN – A delegation from Khon Kaen University (KKU) has advanced educational cooperation initiatives with Kazakhstan following a key meeting with the Thai Ambassador in Astana.
The KKU delegation, led by Mr. Surapon Petch-vra, Vice Chairman of the University Council, included executives from the International College, Faculty of Education, and College of Local Administration. The group discussed expanding collaborative networks, building upon the 33-year diplomatic relationship between Thailand and Kazakhstan.
New initiatives planned include student exchange programs, research collaborations, and staff and faculty exchange projects. Kazakhstan, with its rapidly growing economy and strategic location in Central Asia, presents valuable partnership opportunities, while KKU continues to serve as Thailand’s gateway to the Mekong region.
During their visit, the delegation toured the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, which focuses on developing students with a global perspective. They also visited Nazarbayev University to discuss future student exchanges and joint activities.
This cooperation is expected to create opportunities for students from both countries to engage in cultural exchange, enhance foreign language skills, build international networks, and increase future career prospects.
The Royal Thai Embassy in Astana has provided valuable information and continues to actively promote educational projects between Thailand and Kazakhstan, demonstrating the diplomatic commitment to strengthening academic ties between the two nations.
