On June 7th, 2023, Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC) led by Asst. Prof. Sirimonporn Thipsing, Dean of KKUIC, lecturers and support staff, organized the “15th KKUIC Establishment Day” event to commemorate the 15th anniversary of KKUIC’s establishment. The event was held at Room M301, 3rd floor, Academic Center and Fundamentals Learning Building, Khon Kaen University.
On this occasion, KKUIC was honored by Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., the President of Khon Kaen University, to preside over the opening ceremony. There were more than 150 distinguished guests from both public and private organizations within and outside of Khon Kaen University participated in the event. Instead of flower bouquets, the guests showed their congratulations by providing air-purifying plants, as KKUIC emphasizes sustainable development based on the SDGs goals. The event’s atmosphere focused on increasing green spaces with air-purifying plants as the main decoration, and the use of natural materials that can easily decompose was also certified within the event.
The “15th KKUIC Establishment Day” event was held simply that included the worship ceremonies to pay respect to the Chaopo Modindaeng and the guardian spirit that protect KKUIC building. There was also a photo session to express congratulations, and souvenir presentations from administrators of various organizations. Moreover, The event also included the Bai Sri ceremony to celebrate the anniversary of the KKUIC establishment, a snack reception, and an award ceremony to honor the KKUIC staff.
It’s great to hear that the KKUIC has been growing sustainably for the past 15 years and has played an important role in driving academic and various activities at Khon Kaen University, not only teaching international programs, but also the aim to enhance high-quality students and produce graduates who can become global citizens for a sustainable society through high-quality education, research and innovation, and community development.
