KKUIC organized the “KKUIC Well-Being 2024: Care to Connect” project

Khon Kaen University – International College (KKUIC) organized the “KKUIC Well-Being 2024: Care to Connect” project, led by Assistant Professor Sirimonbhorn Thipsingh, Dean of KKUIC; Dr. Wanwisa Wannapipat, Associate Dean for Student Empowerment and Organizational Happiness, and Assistant Professor Khwanjira Ponsree, Assistant Dean for Creative Marketing Communication and Organizational Image together with faculty members and supportive staffs.

On Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 08:00 to 16:30, at the Social Space Room on the 2nd floor of the General Education Building, Khon Kaen University International College organized the “KKUIC Well-Being 2024: Care to Connect” project. This project aimed to promote awareness among faculty members and students about the importance of both physical and mental health while fostering a sustainable culture of empathy and mutual care within the community.

The project featured discussions on emotional health led by
1. Asst. Prof. Supawan Laohasiriwong, MD, Faculty of Medicine
2. Assoc. Prof. Patravoot Vatanasapt, MD, PhD, Faculty of Medicine
3.Ajarn Nutchanart Vatanasapt, Hug School of Creative Arts
These experts designed workshops that
to learn practical strategies for managing stress, building resilience, and fostering positive relationships.
to experience healing power of music through interactive sessions to promote relaxation and well-being.

The project was divided into two sessions: the morning session focused on student representatives from the KKUIC Student Union, while the afternoon session catered to faculty and support staff. The afternoon session emphasized recognizing students in need of support and offering initial interventions to promote mental well-being.
The primary objectives of the project were as follows:
1. To raise awareness among faculty and students about the importance of maintaining both physical and mental health.
2. To cultivate a caring and supportive community within the organization.
3. To strengthen bonds and unity among students, faculty, and staff at Khon Kaen University International College.
The event was successfully conducted with the expectation that participants gained a better understanding of proper physical and mental health care, developed self-management skills, and strengthened relationships within the KKUIC community to foster a more united environment.
