TOO FAR TOO CLOSE – a short film created by KKUIC students in Communication Arts, was nominated in the “Fiction” race at the CCCL Film Festival 2023.

On February 18-19, 2023, the “Mix Media” student club affiliated to Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC) participated in the CCCL Film Festival 2023 “Changing Climate, Changing Lives.” The event was held at the Alliance Française Bangkok and featured 38 short films. The short film “TOO FAR TOO CLOSE”, created by the students in Communication Arts Division, KKUIC, was nominated in the “Fiction” race from 230 short films around the world. It was also screened in multiple regions throughout Thailand.

The CCCL Film Festival was founded in 2019 by Christopher G. Moore, Changing Climate, Changing Lives (CCCL) Film Festival that aims to raise awareness about climate change through the power of short films. CCCL provides a platform for filmmakers, artists and communities in Thailand and Asia to tell stories of climate change impacts, resilience, inspiration and innovation. CCCL supports young filmmakers and artists through filmmaking grants, mentorship programs, film and art distribution, talks and workshops on climate filmmaking and visual storytelling all year round.

This activity gave KKUIC students a chance to meet with prominent directors and people from different industries in both Thailand and other countries. This experience inspired them to improve their production quality to the international markets.

To keep catching up on more progressive creative media productions, cheer the student club members up through the Facebook page: MixMedia Club. Let’s go on this creative journey, move beyond limits, and turn to be more splendid together!
