On Friday January 26th, 2023, we were honored to welcome Prof. Matthias Ruth, Vice President for Research at the University of York, to Khon Kaen, Thailand. The visit was co-hosted by Khon Kaen University (KKU) and by its International College (KKUIC). The purpose of the visit was to advance the burgeoning collaboration between the 2 universities, which will produce a university level MOU with KKU and College level MOU between KKUIC and York’s School of Business.
During his visit, Prof. Ruth engaged with top researchers and academics from various faculties and met with the senior management of KKU. Thereafter he came to the International College (KKUIC), to meet the team and discuss research and academic areas of collaboration. Prof. Matthias was hosted by Dean Sirimonbhorn Thipsingh, along with key staff members, vice deans, and professors.
On this occasion, Associate Dean and Prof. Chavis Ketkaew also gave a presentation about the College’s Center for Sustainable Innovation & Society. As Dean Sirimonbhorn said “we are thrilled to have Prof. Matthias among us and look forward to a great partnership.”
