4th-year Communication Arts students organize innovative media camp that successfully introduces high school students to the future of communication arts through hands-on AI technology and digital media workshops
4th-year Communication Arts students have successfully concluded the “Next Gen: DekTasteD” camp held on May 1-3, 2025, as part of the Creative Media Technology Seminar, International Journalism Seminar, and Communication Arts Seminar courses. The three-day event attracted an enthusiastic group of high school students passionate about new-age communication.
Throughout the camp, participants engaged in intensive hands-on learning experiences through activities designed to develop crucial skills for future careers, including problem-solving, effective communication, and adaptability in rapidly evolving work environments.
Highlight activities of the camp included:
Writing Script – Participants crafted news pieces under the guidance of professional journalists, producing quality content while learning digital news presentation processes
Photography & Videography – Students experimented with professional photography and video equipment in a real studio setting, mastering creative composition techniques
AI Creation – Campers explored video and music creation with AI technology, gaining practical video editing skills applicable to real-world scenariosThe event featured guest speakers from various media and technology fields who shared their experiences and knowledge, inspiring youth with real-world insights into digital communication careers.
Given the success of this event, the International College plans to organize similar activities regularly to create opportunities for young people interested in future careers in communication arts.
