Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC), led by Ms. Rapeepan Phittayadilok, Associate Dean for Administration and Strategic Planning, Mr. Poori Chitladaporn, Assistant Dean for Planning and Organizational Excellence, and Ms. Jittima Kraisriwattana, Assistant Dean for Creative Programs and Special Affairs, and 20 students, participated in the “Exploring Global Futures: Immersive Insights into UN Missions, Sustainable Development Goals, and Climate Actions” program from February 10-13, 2026, at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the United Nations in Thailand. This program is a collaboration between KKUIC, AIT Extension, and CIFAL Bangkok (UNITAR).
The activities were conducted in the format of a Model United Nations, focusing on developing modern diplomatic skills, multilateral negotiation, and public speaking. Students learned about the workings of the UN and the promotion of sustainable development goals, particularly regarding climate change (SDG 13).
This participation enhances students’ global citizenship competencies, helping them understand the complexities of global governance and prepare to be leaders in advocating for environmental and social policies at the international level.
