KKUIC plants 2,000 trees in honor of His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his 72nd birthday.

On Friday, July 26, 2024, at 8:00 AM, Khon Kaen University – International College (KKUIC) led by Dr. Nat Chaijaroen, Division Chair of student engagement and Internal Collaboration, had joined to Khon Kaen University’s planting tree project to honor His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his 72nd birthday, July 28, 2024. The event was presided over by the university’s president, Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D. who led the university’s executives, staff, and students in the activity. The Infrastructure and Environment Division prepared more than 2,000 seedlings, including Makha, Teak, Siamese Rosewood, and Takhian, for the executives, faculty members, staff, and students to plant together as a royal tribute.

During the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D. stated:
🌳🌱 “Khon Kaen University has been continuously driving activities in forest area management and restoration by planting replacement species. We place great importance on conserving and preserving green spaces, especially in maintaining original forest parks and local species. In the future, Khon Kaen University will become a university rich in biodiversity and sustainably manage its forest ecosystem.”
