On Tuesday, January 16, 2023, the KKUIC Lifelong Learning Center, Khon Kaen University International College, led by Ajarn Kanokon Rattanaporn, the Center Director, organized the “English Camp for MPK” for junior high school students from Mueang Phon Pittaya School (Excellent English Class: EEC). The camp aimed to enhance knowledge and experience in the English language and promote internationalization for students to become global citizens.
English Camp for MPK was also open to individuals and organizations interested, both within and outside of Khon Kaen University. The camp aligns with the mission of KKUIC Lifelong Learning Center to provide knowledge and experience to the participants. In this instance, more than 100 teachers and students from Mueang Phon Pittaya School participated in English language classes at Khon Kaen University Science Park. In addition to classroom activities, the students also engaged in various life skill-building activities, such as “English & Exercise – Zumba Dance” and “Let’s Explore our Local Environment” touring around Khon Kaen University and local environment that they had an opportunity to learn English and participate in group activities while being immersed in nature and sciences.
At the final session of the English Camp for MPK, the participants received certificates of completion and camp prizes from Khon Kaen University International College and KKUIC Lifelong Learning Center. They also enjoyed an exciting performance by the KKUIC Dance Club, which brought joy to the participants before they returned home.
This event can be considered as part of KKUIC’s global drive, aiming to promote lifelong learning for global citizens to enrich knowledge, enhance experiences, and develop both academic and professional skills. It ensures the ability to continuously develop up-to-date knowledge and adapt effectively to the changing world. It also represents an important opportunity to expand the various academic services provided by KKUIC Lifelong Learning Center.
