Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC) participated in a grand tree-planting ceremony to commemorate His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s 72nd birthday celebration on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 8:00 AM. The event took place in the North Mor Din Daeng Village area of Khon Kaen University (KKU).
The ceremony was presided over by KKU President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, who led university executives, staff, and students in this significant environmental initiative. KKUIC was represented by its student affairs officers and student representatives who joined the university-wide celebration.
The Division of Infrastructure and Environment prepared more than 2,000 tree saplings for planting, including valuable native species such as Afzelia xylocarpa (Makha), Teak, Rosewood (Payung), and Hopea odorata (Takian). The tree-planting activity served as a tribute to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his 72nd birthday on July 28, 2024.
This environmental conservation effort brought together members of the KKU community in a meaningful display of loyalty and environmental stewardship, contributing to the university’s green initiative while honoring the Thai monarchy.
