ศูนย์นวัตกรรม
และสังคมแห่งความยั่งยืน(SIS)
ศูนย์นวัตกรรมและสังคมแห่งความยั่งยืน ส่งเสริมพัฒนาการ บูรณาการความรู้เชิงวิชาการ โดยเฉพาะด้านธุรกิจและธุรกิจระหว่างประเทศ เพื่อกระตุ้นให้เกิดความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานภายในมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น อันได้แก่ วิทยาลัยนานาชาติ และ อุทยานวิทยาศาสตร์ และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นและหน่วยธุรกิจทั้งในระดับมหาวิทยาลัย ระดับชาติและระดับนานาชาติ อันจะกระตุ้นให้เกิดการพัฒนาผู้ประกอบการให้สนองตอบต่อทิศทางการพัฒนาประเทศ

ขอบเขตการดําเนินงาน
ศูนย์นวัตกรรมและสังคมแห่งความยั่งยืนได้มีความร่วมมือกับหน่วยงานภายในมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้แก่ วิทยาลัยนานาชาติและอุทยานวิทยาศาสตร์ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ในการส่งเสริม พัฒนา และบูรณาการความรู้เชิงวิชาการ โดยเฉพาะด้านธุรกิจในประเทศและระหว่างประเทศ อีกทั้งมุ่งสร้างความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นและหน่วยธุรกิจทั้งในระดับมหาวิทยาลัย ระดับชาติและระดับนานาชาติ อันจะกระตุ้นให้เกิดการพัฒนาผู้ประกอบการเพื่อตอบสนองต่อทิศทางการพัฒนาประเทศ
กรอบนโยบายการดําเนินงาน
ศูนย์นวัตกรรมและสังคมแห่งความยั่งยืน มุ่งส่งเสริมพัฒนาผู้ประกอบการสู่สากล ดําเนินการภายใต้ขอบเขตเชิงวิชาการโดยใช้องค์ความรู้สาขาธุรกิจอย่างบูรณาการเป็นหลัก และสร้างความร่วมมือกับหน่วยงานสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีหรือสาขาวิชาอื่น เพื่อร่วมกันพัฒนาคุณภาพของผู้ประกอบการเป็นสําคัญ
เป้าหมายสําคัญ 3 ประการ
- การพัฒนาต่อยอดองค์ความรู้ทางวิชาการด้านธุรกิจเพื่อการพัฒนาประเทศและเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งทางระบบเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์ในระดับท้องถิ่น ระดับชาติ และระดับนานาชาติ
- การพัฒนาองค์ความรู้เพื่อกำหนดแผนงาน โครงการ ที่จะพัฒนาทักษะในการดำเนินธุรกิจและทักษะในการนำเข้าและส่งออก อันเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนยุทธศาสตร์ชาติและประเทศไทย 4.0
- การพัฒนาวิจัย นวัตกรรมและการสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มของสินค้าและบริการที่นำไปสู่การเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศ
หน้าที่และความรับผิดชอบ
- สร้างและพัฒนาผู้ประกอบการผ่านองค์ความรู้ด้านธุรกิจ
- แสวงหาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและความร่วมมือด้านวิจัยและการบริการวิชาการระหว่างหน่วยงานภายในมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น และภายนอกมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น
- นําเสนอองค์ความรู้ด้านการวิจัยและบริการวิชาการแก่หน่วยงานภายนอกทั้งภาครัฐ และภาคเอกชน
- ให้คำปรึกษาหน่วยงานด้านธุรกิจทุกขนาด
- รับผิดชอบจัดทํารายงานข้อมูลพื้นฐาน และผลการดําเนินงานเมื่อสิ้นสุดปีงบประมาณ
